Lisa Lightbourn is an award-winning creative leader with over 15 years of experience in television, web, and documentary production. She has worked on globally recognized series for Fashion Television, MuchMusic, CityTV, CTV, and more, while also independently producing, directing, and shooting impactful documentaries and digital content.
Her work spans commercial and documentary storytelling, from producing social media-driven campaigns to serving as DP on the iPad documentary Avatar Secrets. She directed and edited the award-winning 40-part web series on women and aging and helmed 8% No Limit, a 12-part docu-adventure following a blind ultra runner covering 885km in 20 days.
Passionate about social impact, Lisa has collaborated with NGOs on groundbreaking projects, including an 8-part docu-educational series on aging, HIV, and long-term care in Canada with Casey House and The Rekai Centres. Her documentary credits include One With the Herd, The Maud Squad, and the feature-length 8% No Limit.
Currently a creative producer at the University of Toronto, Lisa develops interactive content and multimedia strategies that shape the institution’s storytelling. Her leadership has driven millions of engagements across platforms, including high-impact digital series, widely successful podcasts, and social-first video campaigns.
