Lisa Lightbourn-Lay has worked in television/web/documentary production for over 15 years. She has traveled the world working on award winning shows and channels such as Fashion Television, MuchMusic, Startv, CityTv, CTV, Canada’s Next Top Model, Downright Domestic, SexTv. Since 2004 she has independently produced/directed, edited and DP'ed for web, broadcast and documentary.
Recent work includes producing social media based commercial work, DP of iPad documentary, Avatar Secrets, directing/editing a 2 season/40 part, award winning web series on women and aging, producer/director of 8% No Limit, a 12 part docu-adventure series presented by Get Out There Magazine, following a blind ultra runner for 20 days, running 885km, with 8% vision.
Non-profit work is of huge personal importance to Lisa. She works ongoing with a number of NGO's. In partnership with Casey House and The Rekai Centres Lisa most recently directed/produced a groundbreaking 8 part docu-educational series that looks aging, HIV and long term care in Canada.
Lisa produced/directed award winning documentary One With the Herd, fan culture doc, The Maud Squad and feature length ultra running documentary, 8% No Limit.
Lisa currently develops and produces interactive content and strategies for the University of Toronto.
